Charity + Personal Work
some bits and bobs
made for here and there
Memorial Canvas for my Grandfather
Of my personal work, this one is my most favorite.
On labor day in 2024 my Grandfather passed away from complications due to brain cancer.
He was always there for me and always on my side no matter how belligerent of a grandkid I was.
He was intelligent, funny, exceptionally patient and he kept every single piece of art I had ever given him, even the ugly ones.
I was one of the luckiest people in the world to have a grandpa that was as cool as he was.
I collected every picture of him that was taken throughout the years from everyone in the family and used it as a collage to create something that I knew he would have absolutely adored as a gift from me. This piece was given to my grandma during his funeral and now still sits on his shelf with all of my weird clay abominations I gave him.
Flyers for Garfield Land Trust
A friend, who is a Pittsburg local, asked me to help set up a couple of printable designs for some flyers that they needed for an event.
The event was a meeting that involved folks from all over the neighborhood getting together to determine what to do with an empty patch of land that would best serve the communities needs.
I chose such a bold design for this because I thought it would be best to have something loud that could be seen from across the street.
Fort Benning georgia
event t-shirt design
A extended family member emailed me asking to help them design a t-shirt for a charity event that was being held in honor of the soldiers station in Fort Benning in Georgia.
The only thing the requested was for it to have a sort of ‘Baseball’ type theme to the words that they wanted in the design itself.
The challenge in this design was to find an example of script that they felt fit the exact theme they envisioned.
This design was the end result.
I was invited to a 1920’s themed dinner party and was asked to create a piece of art that would be placed on one of the center dining tables.
I wanted to make sure that the design was bold enough to be in such a visible place, but also not take away from anything else that was placed on the table, so I went with a more simplistic design.
It ended up being one of the overall favorite pieces of art of the night and I still have it hanging up next to my desk.
