IgnitED! Consulting is an education consulting firm located in Minnesota
IgnitED! uses a blend of science with social, emotional, behavioral, and academic practices to assist public and private schools across Minnesota to insure each and every student can succeed to their fullest potential using their patented Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Framework.
Initially, I was approached by its founder, Megan Gruis, to create a couple of digital and deliverable assets for the company. The end result was a massive multi-week project to giving a fresh look to the company’s brand to better express the vision that they wanted to portray to the public.
The Process
After thorough design research, I discovered that several companies were using the exact same logo that she had chosen to represent ingnitED!
I relayed my discovery to Megan, informing her of the situation. I proposed that we work together to create a new logo that would help the company stand out from the competition and better express the vision she wanted to present to the public.

The final logo retains it’s child friendly and colorful demeanor while remaining a structurally sound and cohesive design. We decided on both a longer full logo as well as a ‘thumbprint’ logo to use at will for accents of web elements, or smaller items where a larger logo would disrupt the visual consistency
